Sample Workshop Descriptions

Tier 1

“Understanding Our Social Constructions and Their Manifestation in the Workplace”

This course actively engages participants to evaluate the way we are socially constructed and how that plays into our daily intercultural communication patterns. This workshop will help you to evaluate and create spaces of transformative learning opportunities infused with love, compassion, and perspective taking. Our goal is to reimagine the workplace as places of possibility and creative problem solving.

Provides intercultural communication and self evaluation to promote a transformed workplace and classroom.

Tier 2

“How We Communicate With and Through Our Social Constructions”

This workshop is an extension of the first workshop that focused on micro aggressions and implicit biases. Now, we discuss how we might have those courageous conversations infused with love, compassion and understanding. We practice listening exercises and patterns of communication that help open up intergroup dialogue and understanding. We aim to think more deeply about the ways we communicate with others and begin to intervene in socially just ways that allows the process of understanding and healing to begin.
